Terms of Service

Effective date: 28 May 2026 · Version 1.0 (Founding Member Release)

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Moshee (“Moshee”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), including the Moshee platform, mobile application, booking tools, and payment features (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Moshee.

These Terms are written in plain English. Where legal language is required, we have tried to explain it clearly. If you have a question, email us at hello@moshee.net.

1. Who We Are

Moshee is a salon management and booking platform operated by Moshee Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address and company number will be published here upon incorporation. References to “Moshee”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in these Terms refer to Moshee Ltd.

You can contact us at hello@moshee.net.

2. Definitions

Throughout these Terms, the following words have the following meanings:

Commission
A percentage of your service revenue taken by a platform as a fee for facilitating a booking or payment. Moshee never charges commission. See Section 7.
Service Charge
A fixed or percentage fee charged for the use of an optional premium payment feature — specifically Moshee Pay V2. A service charge is not commission. See Section 6.
Founding Member
One of the first 500 users to register for Moshee during the Founding Period.
Founding Period
The period during which Moshee is made available free of charge to Founding Members, as described in Section 4.
Moshee Pay V1
The standard payment feature built into Moshee, allowing your clients to pay for appointments. Always free to use. See Section 6.
Moshee Pay V2
An optional, premium payment feature using Open Banking technology, available as a separate upgrade. A service charge applies. See Section 6.
Open Banking
A UK-regulated framework allowing authorised third parties to initiate bank-to-bank payments on behalf of users, regulated under the Payment Services Regulations 2017.
Salon / Business
The hair salon, beauty studio, or independent stylist/practitioner using Moshee to manage their business.
Client
A customer of your salon who books or pays for an appointment through Moshee.

3. The Service

Moshee provides a suite of tools for salon owners and independent stylists, including but not limited to:

  • A personal booking page at app.moshee.net/yourname
  • QR-code client onboarding
  • Appointment scheduling and calendar management
  • Team member management and per-stylist scheduling
  • Client records and communication history
  • Patch test tracking and automated reminders
  • Rebooking prompts at checkout
  • Review collection and display
  • A portfolio/showreel gallery
  • Payment processing via Moshee Pay

The feature set may expand over time. New features may be included in your current plan or offered as optional upgrades. We will communicate any material changes clearly before they take effect.

4. Founding Member Period

Moshee is currently in its Founding Period. The first 500 businesses to register receive Founding Member status, which entitles them to:

  • Full access to the Moshee platform at no cost during the Founding Period.
  • A locked founding rate of £10 per month when the Founding Period ends and paid subscriptions begin.
  • Priority access to new features and updates.

The Founding Period will end when either the 500-seat limit is reached and all seats are confirmed, or when we announce a transition to paid subscriptions with at least 30 days' notice to all Founding Members.

Founding Member status is non-transferable and applies to the business account registered during the Founding Period. The locked £10/month rate applies for as long as you maintain an active, paid subscription without a lapse of more than 60 days.

This version of Moshee is a live, actively developed product. Future versions will include additional features and may be priced differently for new users. Your Founding Member rate will not increase.

5. Subscription & Pricing

Founding Members

Founding Members access Moshee free of charge during the Founding Period. When paid subscriptions begin, Founding Members are charged £10 per month. You will receive at least 30 days' notice before any charges begin, and you will be required to confirm payment details before your first charge.

New Users (Post-Founding)

Users who register after the Founding Period closes will be subject to the current subscription pricing at the time of registration. That pricing will be displayed clearly before account creation.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed securely via our payment provider. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial months, except where required by UK consumer law.

Price Changes

We may change subscription pricing for new users at any time. For existing subscribers, we will give at least 60 days' written notice of any price increase. Founding Members' £10/month rate is locked and will not be increased while their subscription remains active.

6. Moshee Pay

Moshee Pay V1 — Always Free

Moshee Pay V1 is the standard payment feature included with every Moshee account. It is always free to use. Moshee does not take a commission or any percentage of your revenue when your clients pay through Moshee Pay V1.

Moshee Pay V1 is facilitated through a third-party payment processor (currently Stripe). Standard card processing fees charged by that payment processor may apply and are outside Moshee's control. Where these fees exist, they will be disclosed to you clearly before you activate payment collection. Any such fees are charged by the payment processor — not by Moshee — and are not commission.

Moshee Pay V2 — Optional Open Banking Upgrade

Moshee Pay V2 is an optional premium payment feature, expected to be introduced in a future version of Moshee. It uses Open Banking technology to enable direct bank-to-bank payments — no card required, no card network fees.

Moshee Pay V2 will attract a small, transparent service charge per transaction. This service charge covers the cost of the Open Banking infrastructure and is not commission on your service revenue. The exact charge will be published clearly before Moshee Pay V2 is released, and you will have the option to opt in or continue using Moshee Pay V1 at no cost.

Moshee Pay V2 will be delivered in partnership with an FCA-authorised payment initiation service provider. Moshee itself is not a payment institution and does not hold or transmit client funds.

Using Moshee Pay V2 is entirely optional. Moshee Pay V1 remains free for all users, forever. Choosing not to use V2 does not affect your access to any other Moshee feature.

7. No Commission — What We Mean

“No commission, ever” is a promise, not a tagline. Here is exactly what it means:

What commission means
Commission is a percentage of your service revenue taken by a platform as a fee for facilitating a booking or payment — for example, taking 20% of every £60 appointment. We never do this.
What this promise covers
Moshee will never charge a percentage of your service revenue. Not on bookings. Not on payments. Not on new clients. Not on returning clients. Not ever.
What this promise does not cover
Fixed subscription fees (£10/month), third-party card processing fees charged directly by our payment processor, and the optional Moshee Pay V2 service charge are not commission. They are flat charges for specific services, unrelated to your revenue.
The guarantee
If we ever introduce a fee structured as a percentage of your service revenue, we will give you 90 days' notice and the right to exit your subscription without penalty.

8. Your Responsibilities

By using Moshee, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of your business.
  • The information you provide when registering (business name, contact details, services) is accurate and kept up to date.
  • You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws in the operation of your salon or business, including consumer law, health and safety, and licensing requirements.
  • You are the data controller for your clients' personal data. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store that data, and for complying with UK GDPR.
  • You are responsible for the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • You will not use Moshee to facilitate any illegal activity.

9. Acceptable Use

You must not use Moshee to:

  • Collect payment for services you do not intend to deliver.
  • Send unsolicited marketing communications to clients without their consent.
  • Upload content (images, text) that is defamatory, obscene, or infringing.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or Moshee's systems.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the platform.
  • Resell or sublicense access to Moshee to any third party.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these acceptable use conditions, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.

10. Data & Privacy

Your Data

We collect and process personal data about you and your business in order to provide the Service. Our Privacy Policy, available at moshee.net/privacy, explains what we collect, why, and how you can exercise your rights under UK GDPR (including the right to access, correction, and erasure).

Your Clients' Data

When your clients use Moshee to book or pay for appointments, their personal data (name, phone number, appointment history, etc.) is stored on Moshee's systems on your behalf. In data protection terms, you are the data controller and Moshee is the data processor.

By using Moshee, you confirm that you have a lawful basis under UK GDPR to collect and store your clients' data, and that your clients have been informed that their data is processed by Moshee on your behalf. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) governing our respective obligations is available on request at hello@moshee.net.

Data Portability

Your data is yours. You can export your client list and appointment history at any time from within the Moshee dashboard. If you close your account, we will retain your data for 30 days and then delete it, unless we are legally required to retain it longer.

11. Intellectual Property

The Moshee platform, brand, design, and all software are owned by Moshee Ltd and protected by UK and international intellectual property law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own business purposes.

Content you upload to Moshee — including photos, service descriptions, and client notes — remains yours. You grant Moshee a limited licence to store and display that content as necessary to operate the Service. We will never use your content for advertising or any purpose beyond operating your account without your explicit consent.

12. Availability & Changes

We aim to keep Moshee available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance where possible. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime outside our reasonable control.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. Where a change materially removes functionality you rely on, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and the option to cancel your subscription and receive a pro-rata refund of any prepaid fees.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Moshee's liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the total subscription fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Moshee is not liable for: loss of profits or revenue, loss of clients or bookings, loss of data, indirect or consequential losses, or any losses arising from your failure to comply with these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded by UK law.

14. Termination

By You

You may cancel your Moshee account at any time from within the platform settings. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period, except as required by UK consumer law.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or engage in activity that harms other users or the platform. In non-urgent cases, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy the breach before termination.

If we terminate your account without cause, we will give you 30 days' notice and refund any prepaid subscription fees for the period after termination.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and display a notice within the platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of Moshee after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may cancel your subscription before they take effect.

The date at the top of this document shows when these Terms were last updated. Previous versions are available on request.

16. Assignment & Business Transfer

You may not transfer your Moshee account or your rights under these Terms to any other person or business without our written consent.

Moshee may assign or transfer these Terms, and all rights and obligations under them, to a successor business in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets. In that event:

  • We will notify you at least 30 days before the transfer takes effect.
  • All terms of your existing agreement — including any Founding Member rate — will be binding on the successor.
  • You will have the right to terminate your account before the transfer if you do not wish to continue.
If Moshee is ever acquired, your Founding Member rate comes with you — it is binding on whoever owns the platform. We will never use a business transfer as a mechanism to circumvent our commitments to you.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that nothing prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief in any jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer (not using Moshee in the course of a business), you may also have rights under the law of the country in which you are resident that cannot be excluded by this clause.
